Hello everyone So i started reading about the possibility of using a dual projector setup With a HTPC is it possible? How about the edges of the screens? Sorry for all the questions Thanks in advance. Mad Monk Active Member.
I think in most desktop environments you have the option of dual screen cloned, dual screen extended amongst others. Have a play around with your current desktop's video settings and with a bit of luck the functionality should already be there if you're in a Windows environment. I don't think that technically you'll have any problems achieving this. Good luck with your crazy plan.
But then he goes on to elucidate four reasons to avoid this approach. Convergence The two projectors must be perfectly converged on the screen, which is nearly impossible, especially the corners of the image.
Lens Shift Neither projector can be placed in its optimum position relative to the screen, so both must use lens shift to converge the two images. The best-case scenario is placing one projector relatively low with an upward lens shift and the other near the top of the screen with a downward lens shift, but this makes it difficult to keep the light from hitting the backs of chairs or audience members' heads.
Walter claims there are no retail processors that can do this, and I don't know of any, either. Cost Aside from the obvious fact that two projectors generally cost more than one, there are the lamps, which must be replaced regularly at twice the cost of a single-lamp system.
Also, the lamps must be monitored to make sure their brightness remains balanced. I've see the Windows 7 enhances, specifically the duplicate which works great for one but will if work for two? Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. My concern is that I will not get the duplication I want which is to duplicate 2 of the monitors. I am aware that Windows will support 4 monitors. Heck, it probably supports 16 monitors today. You will have to refer to the paperwork from the device manufacturer for information concerning their product.
